The Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Leader of the Opposition, the Hon. Andrew Scheer, will address the Progressive Conservative leadership convention in Halifax on October 27. Mr. Scheer will speak at 12:30 pm.
“We are thrilled that Mr. Scheer will give the keynote address to PC members at the convention,” said Leadership Selection Committee co-chair Tara Erskine. “Momentum is growing as the convention approaches and this announcement will certainly add to the excitement.”
Mr. Scheer has been the Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada since May 27, 2017. He has served as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Regina-Qu’Appelle since 2004. His leadership is focused on helping hardworking families with lower taxes, controlled government spending and an economic plan that creates prosperity and opportunity for everyone.

Nova Scotia Tories will meet on October 26 and 17 at Exhibition Place in Halifax to choose a new leader. The leadership candidates are Julie Chaisson, Cecil Clarke, Tim Houston, John Lohr, and Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin. During the leadership process, Party membership surged to over 11,000 members.
