WAVERLEY, NS – Educator and entrepreneur Brian Wong will carry the Progressive Conservative banner in Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank in the upcoming provincial election. He was officially nominated on November 1st in front of over 350 enthusiastic party supporters.
Wong says the residents of Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank will be better off under a Progressive Conservative government.
“I believe governments need to make decisions with the family budget in mind. The Progressive Conservative Party has a real plan to make life more affordable for Nova Scotia families,” he said. “The Liberals and NDP both support policies that make it harder for people in Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank to make ends meet.”
Wong says he was drawn to the PC Party by its leader, former Credit Union Atlantic President Jamie Baillie, and his new direction for Nova Scotia’s economy.
“Jamie Baillie knows what it will take to get our economy going,” he said. “The next election will be a choice between Jamie Baillie’s affordable agenda and unaffordable and out-of-touch Liberals and NDP.”
Baillie spoke at tonight’s event and is excited about Wong’s candidacy.
“Brian’s experience in business and as an educator will make him an important member of the new PC team,” he said. “His skills will be put to use as we work to undo the damage done to Nova Scotia’s economy by the Dexter NDP.”
Wong says he plans to spend the coming weeks and months meeting with voters and discussing their priorities.
