Baillie says Bonnar’s business experience makes him a perfect fit for the growing PC team

YARMOUTH, NS – Local businessman and community volunteer Mitch Bonnar will be the Progressive Conservative candidate in Yarmouth in the upcoming provincial election.

Bonnar, the President of Tri-Star Charters and for 27 years co-owner of Tri-Star Industries, says the McNeil Liberals are taking Nova Scotia in the wrong direction and it’s time for a change.

“We need to get the economy growing so we can create jobs and make investments in important areas like healthcare and education,” said Bonnar. “Jamie Baillie’s Progressive Conservatives have a vision for Nova Scotia and a plan of action to get the province moving in the right direction. I’m excited to be on the winning team.”

Bonnar says Baillie is the right choice for Premier.

“Nova Scotia needs a leader who has what it takes to get us in a position where we’re creating jobs and moving forward again,” said Bonnar. “Nova Scotia has flatlined with Stephen McNeil in charge. Jamie Baillie will turn things around.”

Baillie says he’s thrilled to have someone of Bonnar’s high caliber stepping forward for the Progressive Conservatives.

“We need more strong local leaders like Mitch Bonnar stepping forward for public life,” said Baillie. “His experiences in business and in the community will make him a key member of the next Progressive Conservative government.”

In addition to his work with Tr-Star and other local businesses, Bonnar is a high-profile community leader. He is the President of the Yarmouth Arts Council. He has also volunteered with Yarmouth RibsFest, minor hockey and other community projects.
