Critic Responsibilities: Community Services; and Advisory Council on the Status of Women
A Physiotherapist since 1984, Barbara dedicated herself to her patients and their families. For 18 years, she worked tirelessly for the NS health Authority as a teacher, researcher and clinician. Barbara has extensive experience in business, values the importance of volunteering and is a wealth of knowledge in the health sector. She started her own chronic pain clinic in Cole Harbour and became Clinical Director of PhysioCare at home, has been Health Chair for CARPS NS Board & Community Links Advisory Committee and the Ethics Chair for the Serving Senior Alliance, and was awarded Governor General's Award for her dedication to the Arthritis Society, to name a few of her accomplishments.
She is deeply concerned about the direction the current business development, health care and education systems are headed. She is ready to take what she has learned and be a strong voice for equal access to high quality education, transportation and doctors. As well as a call for greater support for local businesses and employment opportunities for all of her constituents.
Barbara Adams has lived in Eastern Passage, NS since 1991. She is married to Kerry Adams and is a proud mother to four sons.
