Rob graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with Bachelor’s degrees in Music, Education and a Masters in Teaching English. He also holds a Master’s degree from Acadia in Counselling Psychology. He has taught and been a school counselor at St. Mary’s Academy in Sherbrooke for over twenty six years and part time at St. FX for the past seven years. He has served on community boards supporting Sherbrooke Village, as well as sports and the Arts within the community. Rob has been involved with many music and theatre productions over the years as a writer, performer and director. Rob served as the President for the Central Nova Conservative Association for The Honorable Peter MacKay for the past five years and has a keen interest in rebuilding the rural economy in Nova Scotia to enable young people to live and raise families in the place they are proud to call home.
Rob is a proud father to three adult children, grandfather to three and is married with two step children.
