At 41, Tim Kohoot already has a lifetime of experience in a wide range of industries. Since growing up on a small Manitoba farm, he has worked as a chef and a professional musician. He also holds a doctorate degree in chiropractic medicine.
In 2002, Kohoot launched creative and business development agency Kohoot Media, which is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Over the last 14 years, he has taken a creative, innovative, and a holistic approach to brand promotion, allowing him to build strong relationships with clients all over the world. As partner and director of business, his clients include Heineken, Westin Hotels, Macallan, Red Bull, and H&M.
Kohoot lives in Kingswood with his wife and three children. He gives back to their community by sitting on the boards of numerous associations and committees.
He is also deeply committed to non-profit work, serving on the executive committee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada - Halifax Walk, and working with the Dalhousie Department of Early Psychosis, MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning, and Laing House.
