Cumberland South Tories preparing for by-election

Candidate Nomination Meeting to be held March 3

SPRINGHILL, NS – Progressive Conservatives in Cumberland South will choose their candidate for the upcoming by-election on Saturday, March 3 at the Springhill Junior-Senior High School.

There are four people vying to be the PC Candidate including: Oralee O’Bryne, Maxwell (Mackie) Ross, Tory Rushton and Marchel Strong.

Mark Sauveur, Cumberland South PC Association President, says it is an exciting time for our constituency.

“We have some great people putting their names forward to be the PC candidate,” says Saveur. “It’s an exciting time for our party and our community to have such quality people willing to put their name on the ballot.”

The deadline to become a member of the PC Party in order to vote at the nomination meeting is Feb 27th at 5 pm.

Premier McNeil has yet to set the date for the by-election.
