Desperate NDP tries to deflect from disastrous record

NEW GLASGOW, NS – Pictou Centre Progressive Conservative candidate Pat Dunn says NDP candidate Ross Landry misled voters about the PC Party’s platform.
“Either Ross Landry is engaging in gutter politics and fear mongering or he doesn’t understand basic accounting,” said Dunn. “The Progressive Conservatives are committed to the new Aberdeen Hospital, the New Northeast Nova Scotia Correctional facility and capital projects in Pictou County.”
The Dexter NDP’s claims show a lack of understanding of basic accounting by the NDP. The budget inherently has $295 million of capital spending in it from the amortization charge alone.
Dunn went on to point out the NDP’s numerous budget blunders, including the $27 million cover-up, allotting zero dollars for hospital equipment and the one day wonder surplus.
“The Dexter NDP have proven time and time again they can’t be trusted with taxpayers’ dollars,” said Dunn. “Once again Ross Landry is spreading mistruths to deflect from the
Dexter NDP’s disastrous fiscal record.”
