NEW GLASGOW, NS – Pictou Centre Progressive Conservative candidate Pat Dunn is firing back at NDP candidate Ross Landry’s desperate negative campaign.

Dunn responded by challenging Landry on the Dexter NDP’s disastrous record of failure.

“Ross Landry was part of a government that raised the HST after explicitly promising not to and took $1,800 from every taxpayer in Pictou County,” said Dunn.

Dunn also pointed out that in Northern Nova Scotia the Dexter NDP’s dangerous economic policies have caused 2,400 Nova Scotians to lose their jobs.

“People in Pictou County are still waiting for Ross Landry to explain why so many people lost their jobs under the Dexter NDP’s watch,” said Dunn. “It’s obvious the Dexter NDP experiment has failed and Ross Landry has failed with it.”

Dunn says it’s time for real change in Pictou County.

“Our plan, Change that Works, will undo the damage Ross Landry and the Dexter NDP have done to our local economy and get us on the right track for a brighter future,” said Dunn. “A Progressive Conservative government will make life easier for Pictou County families by lowering taxes, freezing power rates, stopping wasteful spending and creating good jobs.”
