ANNAPOLIS ROYAL, NS – IT consultant, Ginny Hurlock will be the Annapolis Progressive Conservative candidate in the next provincial election.
Hurlock has a myriad of experience in business and volunteering with many organizations, such as the Royal Canadian Legion, the King’s Theatre, local boards of trade, farmer’s markets and the Digby Area Tourism Association.
Hurlock says she’s seeking the nomination because local priorities in Annapolis are not getting the attention they deserve.
“Premier McNeil has forgotten about local priorities. He’s too distracted in Halifax to really focus on the needs of our community,” says Hurlock. “I’m ready to take on Stephen McNeil in the upcoming provincial election and make sure our real local priorities are addressed in the House of Assembly.”
Hurlock says residents of Annapolis will be better off under Jamie Baillie’s Progressive Conservative government.
“We’re lacking in the provincial leadership necessary for our province to remain viable. We need change, locally and provincially,” says Hurlock. “With Jamie Baillie as our Premier we can turn this economy around and invest in important areas like health, education and infrastructure. We will put local communities first.”
Baillie says Hurlock has the drive, passion and experience to represent her community.
“With Ginny’s determination, small business background and history of community engagement, the people of Annapolis will be well represented at the House of Assembly,” says Baillie. “She will be the strong local voice Annapolis deserves.”
Hurlock has one daughter, Emily.
