The Nova Scotia Health Authority has announced the Glace Bay Hospital’s emergency department will close for over a month starting Tuesday.
According to the Nova Scotia Health Authority’s website, the Glace Bay emergency department will close on Tuesday, April 16 at 4 p.m. and remain closed until Wednesday, May 29 at 7 a.m.
For six full weeks, the residents of Glace Bay will be without access to the hospital’s emergency department.
The hospital’s emergency department has been closed for more than seven weeks since the start of 2019.
Meanwhile Stephen McNeil and Liberal MLAs, including the local Member, Geoff MacLellan deny the healthcare system is in crisis.
