GLACE BAY, NS – Progressive Conservative candidate John White is calling on the McNeil Liberals to address the crumbling BayPlex.
White says the recreational facility is a priority for him, especially because it’s been so clearly ignored by the McNeil Liberals.
“The BayPlex is an important piece of infrastructure and it deserves a champion,” says White. “Geoff MacLellan has neglected the infrastructure here at home, but he’s certainly found the time to do Stephen McNeil’s bidding on expensive projects around the province.”
White says it’s disappointing that Glace Bay’s infrastructure is in such disrepair when Geoff MacLellan is Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal.
“Our MLA has been distracted by McNeil’s messes,” says White. “The costly Bluenose boondoggle and the horrible Yarmouth Ferry deal have his attention, while our community infrastructure has been crumbling.”
Stephen McNeil is in Cape Breton today, but is not scheduled to make a stop in Glace Bay.
White says Glace Bay needs an MLA to fight for the projects here at home.
“I am committed to fight for better roads, the BayPlex and other community infrastructure,” he adds.
The PC’s have a plan for local infrastructure through the Rebuild Nova Scotia Fund.
