NEW WATERFORD, NS- Life-long resident of New Waterford Louie Piovesan will be the Progressive Conservative candidate for Cape Breton Centre in the upcoming provincial election.
Piovesan who works for the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and is active in the local labour movement says Nova Scotians need change.
“Nova Scotians need to see change, we’re lacking in the provincial leadership necessary for our province to move forward,” says Piovesan. “I hear from community members who are tired of hearing excuses. The current Liberal government says there’s no money to invest, but on the eve of an election the premier is blowing through taxpayer’s money, enough is enough.”
Piovesan says that’s one of the reasons he was drawn to Jamie Baillie’s team.
“Jamie Baillie has the vision and the plan to turn this economy around,” says Piovesan. “He wants to properly invest in the many neglected sectors such as education, health and infrastructure.”
Jamie says Louie has the passion, the drive and the commitment to represent the people of Cape Breton Centre.
“Louie has stepped forward because he wants to see better for his community and Cape Breton,” says Baillie. “With his determination and community involvement, the people of Cape Breton Centre will be well represented at the House of Assembly.”
Louie coaches minor hockey in his spare time.
