McNeil sets Nova Scotia up for same expensive fate

Ontario is about to learn a very expensive legal lesson and because of Stephen McNeil’s backwards approach to negotiations with the province’s teachers, Nova Scotia taxpayers could suffer the same fate.

The Toronto Star is today reporting that “Ontario’s public high school teachers are in line for a cash bonus of as much as $3,000 each after a settlement with the Liberal government, which five years ago violated their constitutional rights by imposing a contract on them.”

The Progressive Conservatives warned Stephen McNeil that Bill 75 was setting Nova Scotia up for the same costly consequences. McNeil imposed a contract anyway.
