NDP can’t be trusted on roadwork: d’Entremont

ARGYLE, NS – Argyle Progressive Conservative MLA Chris d’Entremont says the Dexter NDP have lost all credibility on paving and roadwork and deserve to be fired.

“This is the same NDP that made sure their own MLAs, MPs and Cabinet Ministers took priority over ordinary Nova Scotians with their political paving plan,” said d’Entremont.

d’Entremont says the NDP’s paving failures don’t end with their political paving plan. The Dexter NDP also purchased a six million dollar paving plant that has proven to be a complete waste of taxpayers’ dollars.

The NDP have even admitted that their paving machine costs taxpayers 50,000 dollars per kilometre – that is almost 10,000 more dollars per kilometre, or 25 per cent higher, than the private sector.

“The government has proven it’s totally incompetent,” said d’Entremont. “They have no clue what they’re doing in the paving business and it’s time they got the boot.”

d’Entremont says a Jamie Baillie Progressive Conservative government will keep politics out of the paving business and leave roadwork to the experts in the private sector.
