Special Occasions: On August 27th Truro – Bible Hill saluted their former MLA, Hon. Jamie Muir with a Dinner. 350 supporters, friends and family were in attendance. Speakers at the event included John Hamm, Rodney MacDonald, Bill Casey, Scott Armstrong, Beth Stanfield, Rod MacLennan, Lawrence Paul, Sarah Muir and many civic officials; A Frank & Dolena Sutherland Salute and Fundraiser was held on August 29th in St. Peter’s. Hundreds attended from all parts of Nova Scotia attesting to the high esteem and respect in which Frank & Dolena are held. On August 26th Tom Rissesco (Dartmouth East), former secretary of the Party celebrated his 80th birthday; On September 1st Hon. John and Mavis Buchanan celebrate their 55th anniversary. On September 27th the Hon. Peter MacKay celebrates his birthday.
