October 19, 2010
For Immediate Release

HALIFAX – Prince Edward Island's newly elected Progressive Conservative Leader, Olive Crane, is the latest special guest slated to join Nova Scotia Progressive Conservatives at their leadership convention next week.

First elected MLA in 2006, Crane became the Island's PC Party Leader at a convention in Charlottetown earlier this month.

"Progressive Conservatives here in Nova Scotia are looking forward to hearing what Crane and our friends on the Island are doing to rebuild their party."

Crane is joining her fellow Progressive Conservative Leader and New Brunswick Premier, David Alward, and Defence Minister Peter MacKay, at the convention scheduled October 29-30 at the Cunard Centre in Halifax.

NB's new Premier to speak at NS PC Convention

October 15, 2010
For Immediate Release

HALIFAX - New Brunswick's new Premier, David Alward, will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative Leadership Convention Friday, October 29, at the Cunard Centre in Halifax.

Alward and his Progressive Conservative majority government were sworn into office Tuesday, October 12. Alward's PCs won 42 out of 55 seats, making political history by defeating an incumbent government after only one term in office.

"David Alward's PCs are an example that other Progressive Conservatives can learn from. Alward and his team presented a strong alternative to a Liberal government that, after only four years, was taking New Brunswick in the wrong direction,” said Alice McCarron, 2010 Leadership Convention Co-Chair. “With the Darrell Dexter NDP putting Nova Scotia on the wrong path of higher taxes, more debt and mismanagement, our party has a duty to rebuild to give Nova Scotians a better choice with our new leader Jamie Baillie."

More details on the October 29-30 convention agenda will be released next week. Incoming Progressive Conservative Leader, Jamie Baillie, will address Progressive Conservatives on Saturday, October 30.
