HALIFAX - Defence Minister and Central Nova MP, Peter MacKay, will be a special guest speaker at the 2010 Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative Leadership Convention Friday, October 29, at the Cunard Centre in Halifax.
"No other elected official is presently doing more to deliver good government, job creation and infrastructure investment in this province than Peter MacKay," said George White, 2010 Leadership Convention Co-Chair. "As a co-founder of the Conservative Party of Canada, MacKay and MPs like Gerald Keddy, Greg Kerr and Scott Armstrong are showing what a government that puts the economy first can do for all of us."
MacKay will join keynote speaker, New Brunswick Premier David Alward, on Friday night’s program.
More details on the October 29-30 convention agenda will be released next week. Incoming Progressive Conservative Leader, Jamie Baillie, will address Progressive Conservatives on Saturday, October 30.
