Tory Rushton, PC MLA for Cumberland South, says the Liberals must give parents and students all the facts about Oxford Regional Education Centre.

Today, an engineer is expected to submit a report to Liberal Education Minister Zach Churchill that explains the scope of structural issues identified at the school.

Rushton says the report must be released to the public immediately.

“At this point, nothing should be kept secret from parents and students affected by the school closure,” says Rushton. “Their patience has been tested by the delays of this Liberal government.  They need to know what the problem is, when it will be fixed, and when these kids can get back to a normal daily routine.”

Rushton expects answers from the minister today.

“The minister must let us all know what the future holds for the school,” says Rushton. “Students and parents want to get back to a normal school routine. The only way to make it right for Oxford families is to release the entire report and have an efficient timeline in place.”
