Joined by family, friends and colleagues, Tory Rushton has been sworn-in as the new MLA for Cumberland South.
The newly elected Member took the Canadian Oath of Allegiance in a ceremony held in Province House on Wednesday morning.
“I am humbled and thankful for the opportunity to serve the people of Cumberland South,” says Rushton. “There is work to be done, and I am more determined than ever to shine a light on the concerns I have heard from residents regarding healthcare, roads, education and internet service.”
PC Leader Karla MacFarlane says that the people of Cumberland South have spoken loud and clear that they want a strong voice that only Rushton can provide.
“With his experience as a firefighter, manager and volunteer, I am confident that Tory will serve the people of Cumberland South well,” says MacFarlane. “Tory is an excellent addition to our PC team.”
